Can I remove this bracket?

I did a search on the topic of the license plate bracket that is on the P5, and it's apparently J-Spec which is why it only has two holes on top. However, I didn't see anything saying it was possible to remove it and put on a plate bracket that has 4 holes for us folks in the states. I know there are only two to attach it to the car, but at least if the bracket had four holes it would stop the rear plate from rattling when I close the hatch. I saw these brackets at Pep Boys and thought I'd ask before I bought them and couldn't use them.

If that's not an option, I guess I can go the double sided tape route for the bottom of the plate. I'd like to get a nice frame but am having a hard time finding one that will be accomodated by tthe standard set-up the P5 has.

Thanks

There are only 2 bolt holes in the front and rear LP frames; anything else won't work. A lot of people have used tape, I have use a window sealing foam.

Check your plate bolts.
Mine were to long and rubbing against the hatch.
I shortened them, painted the bare spot and tweaked the holder a bit.
Now no rattle

I used little silicone "feet" for the back of my holder and no rattle anymore.
