Lightbulb CAMS for SP20 in Australia - tips please!

Can anyone tell me if it's worthwhile buying the intake and exhaust cams for the 2.0 P5 (SP20 here in Australia). And if so, what sort of power gains and how hard is it to install ? My dad is in Long Beach for a month so may try and convince him to bring it back to Adelaide South Australia. I'm drooling at the thought of being the only SP20 with upgraded cams! The West wing kit looks cool too, can't wait for carbon fiber hoods to hit our shores as well as the two bonnet hoods.
Maybe we can all email Altezza to produce rear lights for the P5 as well.

Current mods....Red brake calipers, detailed red highlights under bonnet and 5 inch dump tip.

Future mods next month ... custom 4-2-1 header, CAI ram pod....and hopefully CAMS the following month.

good day!
for cams just buy them from corksport.com in the states...you can get your pops to buy direct...but they also ship overseas

if you want to know how they affect performance...well this is still a contentious issue....but have a look at this thread

http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...&threadid=5554

altezza dont make the clear tail lights...altezza is the name of the car that first had them...is200 in Australia.

however APC do make clear tail lights for the sp20...you can buy them from e-bay..

i dont think Australia will be getting any carbon fibre hoods any time soon..your best bet is to try and get in on a group buy with people from this forum

all the answers to your questions and much much more can be found by using the "search" function..specially if you are interested in carbon fibre hoods etc.

btw welcome to the forums!!

by virtue of having the sport 20, you already have the FS-ZE intake cam, which everyone is swapping. The cam you should be looking at is the Mazda Speed exhaust cam and I definitely recommend getting it (I'm getting one soon). Some good "how to" info about swapping cams is being passed around in the '3rd gen Engine/Drivetrain' forum. good luck
