cai install!!

so i finished my first mod today! i got the injen cai. (sorry i spent the money) it took a little longer than i thought it would, but it was pretty successful. i must say i'm pretty proud of myself, never tried anything like that before!
one question, when i turn the car off there is a hissing sound. is that normal? any thoughts?

so the hissing when i turn it off is normal. how 'bout when idling. i went for a 1/2 hour drive and it seems like the hissing was louder when i got home than when i left. something loose maybe?

i got the injen from ebay. everyone here will tell you not to send that much on a cai. buy on of the non-name brand ones. they are probably right. this was my first mod so i'm learning as i go.
as far as performance, i noticed a differance as soon as i hit the gas! more get up and go! its nice!
i would say listen to the folks on the site. buy the generic on from ebay. use the money for something else!

Just make sure that you didn't tear anything and that the little vacume hose to the valve cover isn't cracked. Also make sure that the big elbow is pushed on all the way. Other than that if will have a hiss. I am sure that if you had a leak it would run bad if it ran at all. I also like the hiss.

Glad to hear you got it on.
