Ok, I might get the basic one without (5speed) any optional stuff...if that's the case what should I ask for? I know most of you can get it a little lower than the sticker price.
or if I get the ABS and moonroof and that stuff how much lower should I ask?
sorry this is the first time I'm buyin' a car so I don't really know what I should do.

go to edmunds.com or something like that, find out the invoice price for the car and options you want, tack on $3-400, and that's your offer. most dealers will accept that, and some will let you haggle lower. maybe you should start at invoice level and work from there, and not go above the $3-400 above invoice.

FWIW, make sure you understand the difference between INVOICE and DEALER COST. They are two totally different things.

Check out Car Buying Tips I learned ALOT of things from this page and all his recommended links. Hopefully you have a few days to sift through all these and get your plan down, because that's about what it takes.
I don't know if you have thought about colors but I got a 02 ES in Silver and really really am glad I choose it (my other choices were Black or White). The Silver just really matches everything with the car (guages, wheels, carbon fiber, brushed dash, etc) and it's a little more foregiving with dust/waterspots than the other colors but yet you car really get a shiny reflection like normally only in dark colors.
Good luck!

Options
Go with the premium package, and the wheel locks (keep those rims safe). The ABS, and moonroof are easily worth the $1180 (price from web site). These two options not only improve the car in safety and looks, but will also add to the resale value down the road. I would think that you could deal on the price of the additional options. I would try to get the options for $500.00 instead, that is not very unreasonable.
It really depends on how much demand there is for the car in your area, if they are not selling very many of the cars then you should be able to deal. Where I am from they can hardly keep the ES and pro 5's on the lot, so there is not much to move on in price, but some people have still been able to get a deal.
Good luck
