Bang for the buck mods

If I had the money, I would really love to put a turbo in my ProES. Unfortunately, I don't have the money but do have a little to do some mods. I have recently put a order in for a Injen CAI and now I am looking for some inexpensive mods that will give me the most bang for the buck. When I say bang, I don't necessarily mean horsepower. I just want to do some mods that I can really notice the difference. I am trying to save up for a racing beat exhaust but I was thinking I could probably get a strut tower bar for about a 100 bucks. In your opinion, would I notice a handling improvement with just the strut tower bar and not having upgraded any other parts of the suspension? I will do the suspension some day but that will probably be the day that I get new wheels. Not for a log time though. What other mods do you think that I could get that won't break the bank? I know that they will eventually all add up but I want to be able to buy something and notice the difference afterward and say that was worth it.

You could always load the car up with stickers. Don't they add at least 20 hp each?

Actually, I am debating between the Eibach Prokit or Ground Control coilovers. If I get rims someday, I don't want to have to much of a gap between the fender and the tire. Which do you prefer?

springs Eibach

I have a set of Eibach springs I would sell you. I loved them on my 02 pr5 with 17in rims. I now have a 03 and my WIFE would rather not have them installed. but i loved them better handling in corners and look HOT!!!! plus the extra 15hp was nice!! Ok well it sounded good..

well, if it were my car, i would say either go turbo or drop a ton of money to go NA, or just give up on making the car fast. little mods like intake, exhaust, headers, camshafts, ect... help somewhat but are fairly expensive mods for a few horsepower here and there. either save for a turbo and some engine management, which is really lacking in these cars, or id say focus on some other aspect of the car. handling is a good place to start. you can make the protege a really nice little car and it will be alot of fun to drive with some suspension mods. id go with a strut tower bar and a set of good coilovers and eventually a better rear sway bar. Ground Control coilovers blow, i have them and they are horrible. check out tien or jic magic. if you dont wanna spend that much, try some eibach springs and a better set of struts. AWR makes a good sway bar set and the MP3 strut tower bar will work fine on your car. that would be a good place to start. if you want looks, i can help you with getting body parts cheap. check out my car in the pics in my sig and if you like what you see send me a PM and i can help you get that or other body kits.
