Awd
from my understand it wasn't practical for the design, or for the powerplant under the hood. Plus I don't think Mazda is even thinkin about it because they had there eyes on Mazda 3 and 6. There focus will be on the Rotory engine and focusing on drivetrain refinements.
AWD is a whole new can of worms that you have to either put all your focus on or not bother at all.. Who wants a AWD that is going to affect stability and handling.
If they are going to do that look for it in the next 2 years possibly on the 6 high end models.

WTF are you talking bout ! Stability ? R U trying to say that the AWD is not sable ( I want some of that ur smoken ) there are corners here that I fly around in my Honda and now I try this suppost to be BAD *** handle MSP in the same corners and hear the tires hummmm or just down right break free.I like the quick jump of the MSP compared to my 1.8 Prelude , BUT............ I would put a 2.0 Si against a MSP any day

first of all AWD is All-Wheel-Drive...your Prelude might have had 4 wheel steering, but last i checked no honda's came with all-wheel-drive...If anything an AWD car will not go thru the corners as fast as a FWD, at least on pavement....in low traction conditions that would be a little different...also comparing a Prelude to a MSP in handling capability....the only reason you arent breaking loose in a corner is due to a wider stance and possibly a wider tire...Please dont think that a Prelude even with 4WS can out slalom or pull a higher g than the MSP....
Sir Dude, are you sure you know what your talking about?
All Wheel drive is not something that can just be added to any car, All Wheel drive is a technological Edge if used correctly. Think back to the last 20 years how Audi used that technology to dominate the racing world. Hell the race community I think started banning them some years for the ideas they come up with. But getting back to what i am saying.
Some companys pride them selves on the features they push, Audi its Quattro, Porsche for some time had good plus's when it came to Rear wheel drive on some of there lines. Its not how many wheel drive its all about where science meets speed. and a successful union of the two.
And its hard to say what car can out do another car because in this day and age a person who is really determined to build a faster car can upgrade to high heaven.
I have seen a underground Mazda Pro, Destroy some cars, and caught on video too. Come to think of it, I know of a Mazda Protege ES that could probably put more to the ground then both of your cars... its a correct application of science that makes the difference.
lol hahah the fact tha someone has to replace almost everything in the drive and power train but ummm anything is possible in this day and age.
Becareful what you say dude.... about AWD its a whole different can of worms. and anything who beleives other wise is wrong and doesn't have a respect for a great concept.
But Mazda will never pursue that because they have no car that can have that can incorporate it. Unless they redesign a discontinued car. hahha who wants to see a 626 on Steroids lol hahha I DO
