Anyone Used Stongard?
I'm thinking about getting some head/fog light protective film from Stongard. Has anyone installed these themselves? It sounds like installation of the whole front-end kit should be done by a professional installer. But what about just for the lights? I can't see this being that difficult. Also, is it noticeable when installed? Especially after it gets dusty.

I saw a booth at a car show not long ago for this stuff.....they were selling the complete kits and had a car there with it installed....I went up and felt it and of course its a clear film put on the car like an INVISIBLE bra or something.....I didn't like it....for two reasons....ONE it wasn't SHINEY....it LOOKED like there was something wrong with the paints finish.....TWO....when waxing, the EDGE of the film gets a line of wax along it that is a pain in the *** to get rid of...oh sure....a tooth brush does the job but screw that. I will get a REGULAR bra to solve that problem.

I had a feeling it would look the way you described it. Sooner or later the edges will get crude stuck in it and then it'll probably start peeling off. I do have the Mazda stock bra but was thinking about protecting the lights. And I would only put Stongard on if it didn't take away the clear shiny look of our headlights.

I've had Stongard installed on my Protege5 for about a month. Had the full kit plus lights and foglamps installed. The application for the lights is really thick but I've noticed no loss of brightness or distance. I had it installed to protect the paint as I already had paint chips with only about 4,000 miles on the car. So far I like it.
