Anyone try Sylvania Silverstar bulbs?

If so, are they any good? Any pics?
If you are wondering what I am talking about, here is a link.

I have them in another car, not in the P5 though. They seem to work better than the standard halogens.

I'm not sure what car you have, I have a P5 and unless it has changed they only make SilverStars for the high beam, not the low beam.

Yeah, I have a P5. I wanted them for low beams. Will check this out. Anyone here know if they come for low's now?

Thanks

Go here: http://www.powerbulbs.com

They sell Osram Silverstars (same as Sylvannia) for our low beams. I haven't bought from them yet but other people on this board have. It'll be about $60 Cdn for them.

From the website:

http://www.sylvania.com/bin/carApp/c...tege5&x=18&y=5

Part number = H7
Upgrade Part Number = H7ST
"Silverstar High Performance Halogen Upgrade - Whitest, Brightest, 100% Street Legal"

So yes, they make H7's now, its been awhile, but they are here.

though i've got a pair of H4s in a '95 protege, they are still your best bet when it comes to whitest and brightest halogen bulbs. most other brands like PIAA or Eurolite are much bluer which causes it to look whiter, but actually do not produce nearly the same lumens as the silverstars. many people i've talked to said their PIAAs actually reduced visibility on the road.

I have them on my sedan.
They are at least as bright as stock, but are less yellow (ie more white), but they aren't superwhite.

We (mpsport.net club) are having a meet this Friday to compare our proteges (p5s and sedans are coming out) to compare our bulbs.

I'll post some pics afterwards
