Question 99 Protege DX gauge cluster

Hey,

I was wondering if a gauge cluster out of a 3rd gen LX or ES with a Tach would work in a 99 Protege DX. I was thinking about getting one out of a junk yard, but I did not know if the wiring was the same. Another question I have is,.... is the miliage stored in the cluster itself, or in the cars ECU?

Thanks,
Barry

i don't know about the interchange-ability of the gauges, but the milage is stored in the cluster, not the ecu.
