well there are a few facts wrong on the page.....so I wonder if that car is in fact a factory job or an actual show car. Not to mention, since its badged as a 323 we know it wasn't a North American car of recent years.

Notice that they have the MPS listed as a 2002.....its a 2003.

and isn't it funny that this 2000 model 323 mps is the same color as the new 2003 mps? I do like the front and rear of that car better than ours....but I am still skeptical as to its true origins....for SOMEONE on this board would have heard of it before.

The MPS on that page is the concept car Mazda showcased at SEMA and i think it was back in 2000 a year before they produced the MP3.

If you click on the more pics button it shows a different car. It has the older headlights with seperate blinker.

I just thought maybe the page was made a while ago since they listed the MSP as a 2002 and the p5 concept pic as a 2003.

Man! Has it been a while since I saw that thing! (The orange 323 MPS) I saw that car at the Atlanta Auto Show back in like MArch of 2001 or, something like that. Liked the look of it but.....I was VERY unimpressed with the amount of attention that Mazda gave it. The same show had the new Sentra SE-R concept and an array of other new cars comming out like the WRX and Mazda puts this Protege' over in the corner where NO ONE was at! In fact, I just happened up on it and since I saw no one to ask questions to, I just went up on stage and hopped inside of it.

As usual, a lady shows up right as I'm about to sit down and spoils the fun. Then, to top it off, I ask her about the horsepower in the engine and she says she really doesnt know for sure. I turned to my friend and said, "This is why Mazda will never be in the game with good cars." I was wrong at least about that one. But they still dont have crap for performance parts @ their dealers.
