I have an 02 protege that I just finished putting an 03 mazdaspeed swap into, the wiring harness was cut so I had to do some splicing. Now I am having problems with my speedometer. I am searching for wiring diagrams or help in general

 

what sort of problems are they?

 

Well i just put a new speed sensor in and as far as i know both the 02 and 03 protege manual transmissions use the same sensor. Im not sure if it might be a problem with the wiring harness because like i said i did have to do some splicing of wires. Or maybe it has something to do with the ECU but i dont know that is why i am looking for a wiring schematic so that i can see exactly how the wiring goes and if all else fails maybe just rewire it. Another possibility that i have thought of is maybe my speedometer is just not working but i dont see why it would stop but the other gauges work just fine.

 

pffft, who needs a speedometer anyways? As long as u know what speed ur car tops out at ur all good, cause thats as slow as u should be going. lol, jp, but it might be a wiring problem, what exactly is wrong with it? Is it giving an inacurate speed or doing absolutly nothing at all?

 

i dont even know what the top speed is, it isnt working at all i think a wiring diagram would help
