[b]It is a HUHG problem[b/]

I was cleaning my pro today and noticed my CAI filter was unattached...I don't know how long I've been driving like this.

Can anyone please help me on this, like what I should do now or what's the main concern or thing to look for.

Thank you all in advance on this matter.

First thing I would do is take the whole intake off and take a look at what's built up inside the pipes. Pay close attention to the MAF, and make sure there is no bugs, dust, dirt, whatever built up inside it. Besides that ... not sure if you can do anything else.

Maybe, but it all depends on what your engine has been eating that whole time you were driving around without a filter. I would say that if you haven't noticed any major problems yet you should be fine down the road as well. What really baffles me is how you didn't throw a CEL driving around like that ...

I dunno why it would throw a CEL unless there was some kind of damage to the MAF?
Do what he says^^ and this time make sure you clamp that sucker tight.

Before you put the filter back on clean the inside edge of the rubber good, Make sure it is completelly dry. Sometimes this is forgotten ,specially on k&n filters. And no matter how tight you get the clamp it will still slide off.

I wish I had the money to bring one of them BMW or Audi... no need to play around with these little mods to get an extra 0.5 or 2 HP... or I could of stick with the factory intake. HAHAHA oh well.

I don't want to start another thread so I hope it's okay that I ask this in here. It is worth getting the K&N Oil Filter for our pro? or is the regular one work just as well?

It's all just money, right? I'm a fan of the high end fram filters. Although i do run k&n on my 4-wheel Drive the one that actually goes in the dirt. haha.

I'm not trying to sell another intake here, really, but I do want to point out that the Simota piping has a lip to hold the clamp in place. Everyone bitches that the filters are hard to put on--but they don't come off.

They're also the only intake manufacturer that gives you an actual clamp to keep the intake secure.

Funny you mention that.
The first order I placed with Simota, the assembly packers forgot to add a second
connector for the 2.0L CAIs, so I had to go and buy them myself.
I told them about the problem. This time, they packed the kits right and sent me a box of extras. I am going to keep a few around in case I need them but I can certainly spare a few.
How many do you need? BTW, they are only good up to about 2".
