That sucks, I got mine yesterday and there was nuthin' but a sticker!
And to top it off, some bonehead at Kartboy must have dropped my shifter on a concrete floor, 'cuz there was a little hole in the bag that matches the top of the shifter and the first thread is bent just enough that I couldn't get the shift **** to
twist on.
I have to fix it now but I probably won't need to send it back.
I AM going to e-mail Kartboy and complain. Maybe they'll send me some kandy.

I plan on ordering some stuff over the weekend...Does anybody know if it matters whether you select the MSP or P5 option for the short shifter...? Is their any difference?

Thanks.

The MSP **** is threaded differently, so you can't use it with the Kartboy (and probably others), and vice versa--you can't order the MSP ss without the MSP ****.
I am pretty sure about this...

BTW, Tom at Kartboy responded to my complaint immy--and offered to replace it no problem if need be...didn't offer me any candy or a t-shirt, though...

it makes no difference between the P5 and MSP because where you install the lever is the same. HOWEVER, although the msp **** has the same thread pitch, the height of the MSP **** is different than the stock ****. So you can use your P5 **** on the MSP shifter but there might be a gap between the bottom of the **** to the shifter. according to some people, you can just rubber band the top of the vinyl boot so that it covers the gap.

recommend the normal short shifter for sedan & protege5, MSP short shifter if you want to use the stock MSP ****. for the MP3 you will need to purchase a new ****. hope this helps, you might wanna email tom@kartboy.com if you have further questions, he replies super fast.

Oh yeah, right, thanks for straightening me out--I totally forgot about the MP3--I knew it was one of 'em, dammit.

Yeah, I'm going to be ordering the **** anyway becasue I have an MP3 and I knew that the **** wouldnt work, but I was just wondering if you knew of any difference between the actual levers...So I guess I'll just order the MSP **** either way.

Thanks,
Scott
