Will P5 K&N filter fit in 03' sedan?

I'm assuming the airboxes are identical, but I just want to make sure.

So, will it?

PS: I did a search, and found nothing on this subject.

yes it should. I couldn't imagine why it wouldn't.

I am still amazed at how many vendors list stuff that will fit the P5 but either "don't know", don't list, or insist it won't fit the sedan. I had the same problem when I bought a K&N, 5 different stores said no. I just ask for P5 stuff now when I know they interchange, it saves time.

Exclamation Small Correction

That would be the sedan with the 2.0 litre engine, 'course. That is the LX or the ES. Not sure if it will fit the SE.

Well Alex, in 2003 the only motor available for our lovely little car is the 2.0 in all models, including the DX. I have the Typhoon kit and although its listed for a P5.. it does fit the sedan. There is really no difference in fitment of the engine compartment, your major differences would be in suspension and the car aft of the back doors. The only issue I had to figure out was the strut tower bar and the placing of one of the vacuum banks on the intake manifold, because mine kept touching and making a rattle under acceleration and it was annoying. Other than that, it went on perfectly.

Question

Huh?

In Canada, there was still DX available in 2003 with 1.8 ( or 1.6..whatever ). I know this for sure, since my dad got an 03 Protege LS. Could be the difference between US and Canadian specs....

i thought the last year with the 1.8 in the US and in canada was 2000, then it was either the 2.0L or the 1.6L
