Re: cel?

the incorrect/inaccurate/layman's term for "check engine light".. the official and correct and accurate term is "MIL" for "malfunction indicator light"

Yeah...I hear ya. Normally when the cel comes on, you aren't going to be checking your engine per se...You start to get used to the whole process of disconnecting the battery to rid yourself of the evil 'cel' (damn turbos)

Okay guys, I'm back. The header I made can be seen here: http://www.geocities.com/traveler12820/robsprotege.html

Look under the link for 'ceramic header pics'. And yes, I did dyno it. 7.8 lb/ft of torque max, and from 3-6 HP all through the RPM range. Also, after a couple tanks of gas my mileage went up to 35 MPG. I've had it on the car since early last summer when I built it, and I get lots of compliments when people see it. I get 29-30 MPG in town, and I get 35-36 on the highway. The prices I quoted were a bit high for some people I know, but it takes me 5-6 hours to make one by hand. I can probably get a bit better deal on one now as I've been able to source the flanges a little cheaper. Still, it will be about $470 for the polished ceramic coat, and $435 for the colored finishes. There is a post somewhere where it's all listed. Hell, people are paying $315 for the a header that doesn't even have a decent finish on it. The coating on mine is inside and out and thick.

Dude its nice to hear from you again. That is a very nice looking setup, and impressive gains for retaining the stock converters, downpipe, etc...I am very interested...

What did you mean to say? With an attitude like yours, I can't imagine anyone new to this forum would want to stick around and contribute. Be careful before you open your mouth. She could probably school you on forced induction. Drop the attitude and contribute positive things to the forum.

Thanks and have a nice day!
