a guy named traveler that used to be on this board made his own equal length header. hes the only person i know that has headers. as far as i know, no companies have finished headers for our cars.

AWR has got headers for the 2.0L.

It eliminates the first catalyst, which will give some people hell in some areas

hmmm....what does this mean?

quote from AWR Site regarding headers....

This design eliminates the stock converter. Our cars use different engine management systems and it is not known if this can be used on a stock system

Does anyone know if it does fit the 2.0l that we have...?

Yes it will fit but will need mods for EGR and will ELIMINATE FIRST CONVERTER

Yes it will fit but will need mods for EGR and will ELIMINATE FIRST CONVERTER , no place for o2 sensor. Will throw CEL .

I talked to nopi already, they didnt get them yet. Its supposed to be a 4-1 design. That traveler guy makes them but hell $500 for header w/out dynos or anything FORGET IT! I can get a custom turbo manifold made+downpipe for $600 INSTALLED! Then 300-400 for the turbo and intercooler and BOOM, who needs headers. h&r racing are coming out with headers. Its a 4-1 design which eliminates the cat and has a housing for the o2 sensor. But like all the other companies, no word from them yet either.....

You're exactly right about the BOOM part. You think putting a turbo & IC for 300-400 is gonna cut it? What are you going to do for a fuel solution? No fuel=KaBOOM! It gets expensive to keep replacing engines.

This is what my Focus tuner has to say about doing your own turbo setup:
Guys its not easy and it will be more work that you think by 4x and cost will be higher also i have been there and done this on many more than the focus

Sit down and add up every piece from .50 cent to what ever what are you going to do about tuning ,dyno time, hoses.clamps, fittings, gaskets, shipping, phone calls, welding, oil return lines, adaptors, mass air, injectors, waste gate, bov, oil lines

its the concept, of course there is more work than just manifold, turbo, exhaust, intercooler to a turbo setup. You need fuel management, controls, guages, piping(of course), etc....etc.... I wasnt saying it was that easy, so if you took it that way, its on you and do your homework.

No, he was just saying that you can't do the rest for 300-400$

Do it well the first time or do it the cheap way four times
