What to do...what to do

What to do...what to do
As I said in another post, I just got my new 03 P5 w/auto yesterday. So of course I'm ready to hop it up! :-) Can anyone out there who has done things to their P5's give me an idea of where to start? I just want some 0-60 gains but still keep it streetable. It might be valuable to others in the same boat as I am to learn from the veterans here...
I'd love to know in what order I should approach things, how much I should expect to pay (roughly-I know it's different all over), and how much bang for that much buck I should expect.
Thanks in advance to all who respond...

if i was going to make the pro5 'faster' i would go right into
wet kit. you can do intake/header/exhaust/cams, but will not net
you the kind of instant gains of a nitrous kit. plus, you can
drive it to work without nitrous and arm it on the weekends
when you wanna have some fun.

Thanks for your reply! I wonder if anyone out here has done the Nitrous on one of these? And if so, are there any kits set up for the P5? How strong are the other engine parts to handle the extra pressure? And how much HP can be expected for how much $$$? I guess I'm looking for off the line acceleration vs. all out top end, since the 405 or Sunset Blvd aren't much for 100+ jaunts!
I figured that getting more air in and out is always a good move, so a K&N filter and a cat-back exhaust would/will probably be my first move. I've seen whole intake systems on eBay and other places for what seemed like stupidly cheap. Does anybody have experience with any of those? Are there any validity in those plug in things I've seen that trick the ECU into timing or fuel changes?
And lastly, are there any west coast Protege "guys"; you know, the ones who seem to have EVERY ANSWER or have done some P5's to see the effects?
As always, thanks!- M

If you bought your Pro with intentions of increasing acceleration right away, why did you get an automatic? Are you commuting on stupid LA freeways or just want the drivabilty? I think the 5-speed is already ahead of your auto even with intake & exhaust. I am sure there is an auto out there with nitrous. That might be the quick and cost effective route for stoplight to stoplight. I don't know how long the tanny will hold up and you have warrenty issues to face if it breaks. An LSD would help if you can get one for an auto. BTW- there is a weekly meet in Rowland Heights on Sundays. Look in Southwest section of forum.
