Vibrant intake !?

Has someone on this forum has this intake ? If so, got any pics ? I saw the pics of the pieces on the site, but I can figure out how it goes and how it would look like assembled !

Thanks

The second one is the cheap "ebay" intake... Cheap, no name brand, works just as good... If you want actual increases, go Injen.

No its from Vibrant. Someone is selling one on ebay, but its definitively an intake from Vibrant. You can see it in their catalog :

Vibrant Product

Please explain how an Injen intake would increase performance over an Ebay(short ram) one.
Don't say"because the intake air is cooler" because the increase from that would be next to nothing. Plus, with a CAI you have to worry about hydrolock. The AEM bypass valve takes care of that problem, but any power increase is cancelled out by it.
Also, the short-ram is ...short, so the air doesn't travel as far in the intake tube. Less distance= more power. I'm not saying that the s/r is better, I'm saying that, performance-wise, most aftermarket intakes are pretty much the same. That's why, after a ton of research, I saved myself $150.00 and got the Ebay one.

The Vibrant one looks fine to me.

Im with you all the way !
Thats why Im gonna go with either Ractive or Vibrant. I saw a lot of pics of the one from Ractive, but none from the Vibrant. Thats why I started this thread so if any of you have this intake and have some pics, please post them !!! Also comments of this intake would be grandly appreciated... like the clearance of the master cylinder comparatively to Ractive !

Ok, because there have been nothing but people hydrolocking with Injens...

I've heard of one case, that's all. If you're not an idiot, you can void water. An Injen WILL make more power, unless the laws of physics and chemistry ceace to exist under your hood...

One $1500 case...
Please, explain to me. HOW will the Injen produce more power than a short-ram? Which laws of physics and chemistry are you referring to?

colder air = denser air
denser air = more "units of air" per given unit of volume
more air = better performance

The gain from a aftermarket intake is so minimal anyway. You wont gain much more than you would with a KN drop in. The only thing you may enjoy is having a big shiney growling dick under your hood. More than likely youll gain about 100 mental HP but thats all. Save your money and go turbo or NX............Duncan

Once again, next to nothing.

All true however you will also get better throttle response (but not too much better than KN) and in the long run more air will be better for your engine. If you like the throtty sound too.

and how does anyone know if you get colder air with the intake out of you engine bay. I mean how do you know its not just as cold when your car is in motion. By the time the air gets to your engine from a CAI it is just as warm/hot as a short ram. If not, pretty close
