Tripoint cam gear and JDM cam install

OK everyone after 5 days of trying to get it to run its running now so that is the good news. The bad news is about the cam gears. Well come to find out somehting on the cam gears is interfeering with the cam position sensor. SOOOOO Only the intake has a adjustable gear on it good in the fact that i can still adjust one but bad that i can't adjust them both. But its runnign now and very well i might add pulls better up top and is smoother to me with better throttle responce at least on teh 1.8L I haven't driven a 2.0 with them yet. Another result of this is that I'm goign to sell teh other cam gear. SO any of you who want to adjust your timing on teh intake and pull 4-5 more hp out of your motor its going to be 150 shipped to you. The set was 300 and 314 shipped to me. All I did was bolt the gear on and then take it off when I found out it was the problem. Absolutly nothing wrong with it. Let me know if one of you are interested. This gear will work on either the 99+ 1.8L or 2.0L

Didnt we already know the exhaust cam wasnt going to be adjustable because of that position sensor? I thought that was decided a while back when we where trying to get some adjustable cam gears made. Maybe Im thinking of something else though. but that is good to know about the intake gear.

Whats Tri-Point saying about not being able to adjust the gear? They say its made to work with the sensor & be fully adjustable.

I'm not sure I haven't called mark yet at tripoint to talk to him about it and right now I'm probably not goign to worry about it as I don't want to go through what I jsut did again. But I can say I'm an expert at replacing those cams now. So I'm still planning on selling the othe rgear I have to the first taker. I know someone out there is looking for one. Let me know I may haggle on the price some but not too much. Post your offer or PM me the price as of now is 150 shipped to your door.
