taking out cat...

has anyone tried takeing out the second cat( the one with no sensors on it)???? leaving the precat and and muffler? pros and cons all welcome

pro's: more sound probably if you're into louder...

con's: doesn't really make a big difference.. cats are not restrictive usually. if your car has the secondary catalytic converter, it's probably because you live in a state that requires it. if you go to take your car in for emissions, they do visual inspections in those states, and if the cat is not there, you will fail. if you're worried it being restrictive, then go with a high-flow cat, that way you will still pass emissions (the visual inspection anyway).
