SR Motorsports Exhaust

Haven't heard much about this exhaust system around here, but on SR Motorsports website they claim a 9 HP gain and it costs $359. I was wondering if anyone else has dyno tested it and if anyone has any experience with this exhaust. How is the sound? Thanks

The site:

There is no way in hell you will get that kind of horsepower from there exhaust. unless you took out the cats the resonator and all the emissions equipment.

not just a bolt and go 9hp its all in the hype of kids getting more bang for the buck philosophy.

call them and ask for some dyno results. Ask them to post the dyno sheets on their website.

I called them and they said yeah it's a 9 WHEEL HORSEPOWER GAIN@! I still don't believe that crap. She said they don't have any dynos of it....
So I called them again and i talked to a different guy and he explained that that protege that they tested it on had the cams and the HC MS pistons and crap, so that's why it was a 9 whp gain.
He said on a bone stock mp5 it would be like 4-5 whp gain.
Now i have to find out how it sounds...

all they say is"Our test Protege picked up 9 HP with this catback exhaust." there is no ..ucking word of any other mods on the car that had something to do with the 9hp. To me this is miss-information and missleading the customer....I would love to the their *** sued for that. ..ucking frouds.

Dude, They didn't have to mentioned any mods. It says right there...Test Protege. Do you automatically take that as a stock protege. Don't you think they would have said, on a stock Protege it makes xxHp?

It's kinda retarded. That's like saying
"After adding the exhaust, the car was putting out 190 HP."
Without telling us it was turbo...

i think that's a load of bull, too! for SR to say that they got 9whp gain without stating that the car they had was not stock is like a midget who says he is 7 ft. tall while not mentioning that he was on stilts. SR motorsports' mention of "our test vehicle" is equivalent of the midget saying "with shoes"... come on now... total hype. not good. bad business ethics=bad news= no business from me.

no matter what they said on the site, if it is true that you can get 4-5 whp from a stock one, than it is still a very good exhaust. You ain't gonna get that much in many other exhausts. BTW, I am not supporting them, just this talk of suing them for false advertising pissed me off, everyone looking to sue someone. I am gettign a RacingBeat anyway.

If they don't have any dynos on it, how can they quote an actual HP increase number?
