SR Motorsports Cat-Back

Hey everybody,

I'm new to the group (03 pro5,5spd, laser blue, purchased 1/3/03)
and I'm looking to replace the intake and exhaust to improve throttle response and bump the HP a little.

This group has been very helpfull so far, but I'm looking for some more info.

Has anybody installed the SR cat-back?
http://www.srmotorsport.com/protege.htm

How does it compare to the Racing Beat?

I don't want this exhaust to make the car too loud.

I am struggling with the Injen vs ebay intake, but I won't add to that debate, there seems to be enough info out there for me to make that decision.

Thanks!

So far only mods are:
custom bike & ski rack (not yet installed, no snow but cold)
15" Borbet Type H's w/Yokahama 720 snows.

I'm interested in this exhaust also, they claim 9 HP gain on their test. Is that true? to the wheels? Just wanted to know, thanks in advance

that 9hp increase was on their test car, which also had engine modifications. it's not "slap on this exhaust and you will get 9whp." it's more like "tune your car's engine like we did, then slap on this exhaust and you will see a 9whp increase over stock."

but they don't say it outright on their exhaust kit link. they just say their test vehicle netted a 9whp increase.
