sound, shift, or go?

Should I get:
J-spec cams (intake)
or:
Racingbeat exhaust with B&M shift kit

Your votes and comments are greatly appriciated.

J-spec cams are junk and don't do anything. If you want performance cams you should check my new GB I started today.

a RB exhaust will sound and a SS-kit will look good, but neither provide any real performance gain.....of course your goals may be different than mine. I would rather look slow and be fast.

i voted for the exhaust and the shifter...since they are a GOOD START to anyone who is looking to upgrade their car. heck, i think i got my windows tinted and the shifter in within the first month i had the car!

...of course i had the car out on the road course in the first month too, all stock wheels/tires/suspension/paper tag...it was a total blast!

I would think both (cat-back & shifter) are an easier install, less likely to cause a failed "Smog Check/Test" and/or warranty troubles (we got a total **** system here in Calif), and would add more asthetically (sp?) to the car, both visually and audibly.

I'd never really thought shortshifters were all that big a deal until I first started driving my 5 hot, and couldn't for th elife of my make it all the way to 2nd. Then I punched one toomany slurppes going for 3rd of 5th... I swear the stock shifter came off of a bus. First upgrade I did (aside form my bikerack) and good choice on the B&M... Mostly I'd just make sure you do the shortshifter.

I voted for the B&M shifter too. Its better than that baseball bat of a shifter thats on there now.

I dont find the P5 stock shifter a problem at all....in fact every other P5 driver here in my area with a SS shifter seems to not be able to shift as fast as me. Problems always arise...someone either misses a gear or grinds a gear or can't find 3rd etc. I just don't see the need for a STS other than cosmetics.

I say you should go and buy all of the products I'm selling to make you faster...worry about cosmetic stuff later.....of course I'm a little biased!!
