Shortshifters!

Ok sorry if this topic has been discussed many times already but im too lazy to search

im looking into buying a SS for my MP3 and was just wondering if there are any CONS about it....... i heard somewhere that the synchros wear out faster?

And also...... is B&M better or is Kartboy better?
Pricewise and performance wise......

Any help is appreciated

The kartboy is shorter in length, but the B&M has a shorter throw. I have the B&M and love it. It is the best aftermarket item I have added to my car.

if the snycros wear out faster its because you have less of a "bullseye" to engage the gears and if you dont hit it then the syncros take a hit or the gears scratch alittle. All you need is to practice to get it right.

I love my B&M. Shift throws are nice and tight. But it does have a tendency to be a little too tight some times and I miss a shift.

i have both the Kartboy SS and Shifter Bushings and it feels great!!! but the problem is... now that i am used to it, it feels stock again (35% reduced throw).. i need the throws like 80% shorter than stock
