Second Cat Pipe

Is the second catalytic converter and it's associated piping the same piece on the Protege5 and MP3 as the ES (2002)? Wagner Motorsports manufactures a mid pipe specifically for the MP3/MP5 and they are unsure if it will fit my vehicle. I am in need of a direct 304SS catless replacement. Thanks for the help guys.

I understand that the P5 is slightly shorter than the Protege sedan, so exhaust systems are generally not interchangable. However, I have only seen that as it applies to cat-back systems, and you're talking about the cat pipe itself.

Also, the MP3 is a sedan, and I believe it shares the same dimensions with a standard sedan, so if their part fits the MP3, then it should fit the regular sedan...shouldn't it?

Or you could just buy it from Wagner and install it. See what happens. It shouldn't be too difficult to put on (and therefore to take off if it doesn't fit).
