samco hoses

i posted this question on msprotege but no one answered. i have a set of samco radiator hoses, but it didn't come with clamps. what kind of clamps do i need and where do i buy them?

You can go to auto zone/pep boys etc. and get the self-tightening clamps (the ones w/the screw)....that's what I'd recommend!

i actually don't like worm gear clamps (like what Phil is talking about) but they work fine and are cheap. If you wanna spend a few bucks and dress it up some you could visit:

www.hitempsilicne.com (iirc) and look for their T-bolt clamps. Just measure the outside diameter of the hoses and get a little bit bigger size. I think 2.25" would be plenty but I may be off.

What Matty said.....

PLus the work gear clamps(cheapy hose clamps) leave thos nice indentations and can actually tear the silicone if overtightened

I wouldnt want to ruin those nice Samco's, especially for the price you paid, which is WAY more than rubber

T-Bolt Clamps dont do this.....

Timmy, I may have 4-6 in my workshop. I'll take a look tomorrow. If I don't you can find them on ebay for cheap...just make sure the shipping is in order. Don't buy $10 clamps and then pay $50 shipping!

lol i'd hate to pay 50 for shipping! lol i didn't even pay that much for the bumper i got. i found another place that sells them, but they only came in a set of two and when i tried to add another to the cart it just came up as 1.
