Racing beat install leak

I just installed my racing beat cat back today but there are tiny leaks in two of the flanges. They don't leak that much only when i go past 4000rpm (only about a drop)but i wondered if this is really a big deal...I'm gonna fix it tomorrow...but it would be ok to drive right? The reason why it is leaking is because the gasket is not sitting flush in between the two pipes...any one have any advice on how to get the gasket to stay in the middle while i tighten the bolts?

With my Racing Beat getting those gaskets to sit straight wasn't a fun task. I sat the gasket up in there and tightened the bolts a bit, so the gasket wouldn't fall out. From there I just used a small piece of wood to poke at the sides until I thought it was even...takes some patience. Also, how did you notice there was a leak at 4000RPM? Someone hit gas for you while you felt the pipes, or does it make a weird noise while driving?

yeah some one was hitting the gas for me while i watched the leaks, but i was using a small flathead to try to keep the gasket in it's spot, but i noticed when i was trying to tighten the flanges together the gasket wasn't in it's seat and the metal plate on the gasket got bent up a little.....should i just get a new one or is this gasket still good....i plan on fixing the leak problem this weekend....i can't beleive it ****** snowed this time of year(NY area)

I would try using the bent one just for the hell of it, and if it leaks, take it to your local auto parts store and have them match it. I had to do this because I only got 2 of the 3 gaskets that should have come. Only costs a few bucks.
