Pictures of Tranny Prep for Turbo

I have a great dealership with a history of great service installing my Clutchmaster Stage IIR, Fidanza Flywheel, Mazdaspeed LSD and FINALLY my rear AWR Motor mount.

I picked up the flywheel and clutch from RR-Racing.com. Rafi is a great vendor with a long history of customer service.

The required mazda pns are as follows:

The following is US pricing (yours may differ):

Here is the run down on cost:

(2) G5ro-27-350B Bearing $48.38
(1) MSP LSD - GS01-27-190A $569.86
(1) f520-17-628 Nut, lock
(1) F521-17-628a Nut, lock $36.59

Davewood Mazda is a sponsor of our club (www.toprotege.com), so we get a substantial discount on both service and parts.

This is being done while I'm away on business, so here ya go:

What a beautiful flywheel!

Clutch

LSD Pics (I believe the mazdaspeed is on the top of the two pcitures...not 100% sure).

My Rear motor mount

Last two are some promo shots for the great dealer...and race team.

yeah I think the MSP LSD is the top diff, just sitting upside down on the towel compared to the open one...You can see the spider gear housing on the open diff...

Nice work man..rougly $650 for one of the best production FWD LSD's on the market is a unbelievable deal...How much for the install?

FWIW the demise of this forum is probably close...It is sad, but those couple days of the board being down really killed it, and then it went down again a few days later...the MSProtege.com board now has more registered users than the pclub, and it never use to be close (always at least 300 users less)...The traffic is more than triple this ones on any given time...Almost every tech guru has left here permanently as well

i will post up the invoice, but it was 7 hours of labour for the CLUTCH, Flyweel and LSD.

the parts listed above are exactly what is needed for the install, nothing more, nothing less.

Wow, I would have thought it would be 7 or more hours for just the LSD...Do you have it back yet? How does it feel?

I have been "playing" with the car all weekend.

Clutch is great...feels like stock..but grips well.

Flywheel does wonders to the acceleration and overall feel. You do need to rev the engine higher at full stop to get it started...but you learn quickly. No worries about driveability....my girlfriend noticed it a bit...but with practice (minor)...it is not a concern.

the LSD is AWESOME...it pulls nicely around corners....and off the line...it seems to transfer more power to the ground. i have yet to really drop anything yet...waiting for it to be broken in...and the turbo will really test her out.

Lookin' good.

What type of LSD is in the MSP, I have one and I don't even know, all I know is that it is a torque sensing LSD, but I thought with an LSD you don't have torque steer, and I have LOTS of it.

Why don't you take in your car and see if it will pass emissions with the HiBoost?

Then we will all know in Ontario. You will know as well. Because when the real test comes along. You can take your **** off for the test. Then put it all back on after.
