no downshift to 1st?

i know you're not supposed to downshift to first...i dont know why tho. just too high rpms? i mean it makes sense if it's going at 15mph or something. but what if you're going at 2 or 3mph? say it's a deserted stop sign, you roll around at that speed, dont stop completely...you still go into 2nd? the problem i faced was at a stop sign on top of a hill. i didn't completely stop, and in 2nd gear, i went. wasnt a terrible hill, but bad enough that it took about 5 seconds until i got into the powerband. am i still supposed to just accept that?

You just gotta rev match, basically just rev it up until it slips in.

don't bother downshifting to 1st ...
You really don't need to ...
I hated practicing that and eventually just phased it out of my driving style .. I either stay in 2nd or wait till I come to a complete stop and go to 1st

It's less of a strain on the drivetrain. The engine is moving closer to the speed it will be when you release the clutch, you should try and rev match all your shifts.

I downshift to first if I am going slow, don't know the MPH I just feel it. I'm too damn impatient to wait for 2nd to get in the powerband.

Just make sure you rev it right, or else you'll still get locked out of 1st.

what do you mean by revving it right? enough so that it doesn't jerk and swing the needle up when you lift off the clutch?

Hm... rev it to the "appropriate" RPM. If 1st gear, 3k RPM goes up to 15 mph, and you want to downshift into 1st going at about 15mph, you must rev to 3k RPM before shifting into 1st.

when my car is in second and moving very slow.. if i downshift it wont move into first sometime grind gears... just rev it up so you could get into first... then whenever you're ready to go, release clutch and add gas... i'll just let my car roll slowly b4 the stop sign in first w/ the cluch in... never engage in first b4 stopping, that's just pointless imo..

although my mech tried out my car... he went from 1st gear up to 4th, and downshift gear by gear down to first b4 stopping @ a red light... when he got to first gear... it was about 40 km/h @ 6000rpm i'm like shiet... our cars are awesome... but i cant repeat what he did... >,<
