Need Help With Code P0106

I took the car to the dealership today and they scanned it and gave me the P0106 code. They said it could be the MAP, Crank trigger, etc. Does anyone know what this could be? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

DTC P0106 is "BARO Circuit performance problem". It means that there is something wrong with the EGR boost sensor, EGR boost sensor solenoid, or the vacuum lines running to them.

I don't have a repair manual so I have no way of locating these parts. I know the dealer might give me a hard time with my warranty because I have done so much work under the hood. If possible, maybe someone could post a diagram of where these parts are so I can check them. Thanks for the post above by the way. And thanks in advance for any help in the future.

I too have an OBD code # 106 on my wife's 1999 Protege 1.8L. Last night I noticed that the intake manifold gasket had a leak. I have a strong suspicion that this is what was causing the OBDII code. After I applied some silicone to the leak (as a temporary fix) the code is no longer returning and the idle is better.

Cheers,
Mike
