need a better oil pan

definately. i plan on carving track corners, not street racing light to light. our oil pans have no baffles, is there any way to put some in / get a pan that has some?

pardon my ignorance on the subject.

I'm terrified to auto x until I can get something done, too. I'm thinking about getting an oil pressure accumulator ($$$). I read somewhere where some guy modified the oil pickup with the cone shaped strainer from another vehicle. I haven't been able to find anything on the internets about a baffled pan for the proteges, except that awr was going to make one (they haven't yet). Moroso has baffled applications for hondas and whatnot, but nothing for us.

What kind of demand is there for a baffled pan, I mean real demand not people that like to sign up for things.

It is possible to just talk to a machinest and have him do baffles in the stock pan. Im sure if we get enough people together we can have a decent oil pan made.

supposedly MAM was going to make one but he talked and talked about it...nothing ever happened and then he ended up making a door lock trim bezel piece instead...now THERES something we need!!

I may be able to take the oil pan off the spare engine I have here and talk with a local shop about making something...but I REALLY don't want to get involved with any other projects.

What do you think the dealers will say when they see one of those hanging off (I refer of course to the ones who are idiots)? I would be curious of there would be any interference with sway bars etc to be concerned with. Given that it's AWR, I would doubt it. Now I just have to budget for one, and figure out how I am going to get my fingers around putting the bolts into the flange parts that are masked by the pan.

It's a steal if you compare it to replacing a sploded engine. Now, if they can come out with a $160 mild steel version for us cheap bastards, that will be a STEAL!

Update: I just read , "powder coated silver" you mean to tell me that sumbitch IS the mild steel version!? I'da thought for 4 hunnert dollars it would be aluminum or stainless.

True, true. Weight savings is an added benefit, sure enough. My main concern is protecting my internals, and as AWR has the market cornered, what you gone do? Oh, well, I know what to ask for for christmas.
