Hello pals.
I want to by a RACTIVE M021 Type 8 front strut tower bar.
I have a Protege Sedan 1.6L Y2K and i want to know if the bar fits in my car. Do i have to make any mod before/after installation?

thanks in advance

With strut bars there is always the possibility of relocating the cruise control (if applicable). The people that could best answer your question is Ractive, give them a call.

Most of the aftermarket strut bars I've seen do not take into account that the Protege has the cruise control acutator on the passenger side strut tower. It will be in the way when you try to install the bar. Get the OEM Mazda MP3 strut tower bar. It has supplied relocation brackets and everything will fit perfectly.

Because you have the 1.6, the throttle body will be slightly touching the bottom of the bar after installation. Buy some washers to raise the bar up some.
