Talking MazdaSpeedExhaust2.0

Just wondering if anyone has the MazdaSpeed Exhaust installed on a 2002 Protege ES. If so, can you describe to me about how much of a performance increase I'll see, and also, If you could give me the model number, and price (CAN.). I would really appreciate it. Also, if you have any recomendations on an Intake that would go well with it. Hey, thanks for all the help in advance.

I know of a couple of guys who have it on the Protege5s, but I don't know of anyone that put it on a sedan. The system is an axleback so you could expect a gain of .5 to about .9whp. I am kidding but It won't be much.

As far as an intake goes, any thing that will fit. I would just make a custom intake. The price/power increase ratio is a joke. There is a Tech section that has a some good info on intake size and length

Hope that helps

do a search on 'mazdaspeed exhaust sound' to hear these beeches roar

this is a direct bolt-on for all 1.8L and 2.0L 3rd gen Proteges (not sure if 1.6L has different piping...)

I have a 2001 ES (should make no diff to your question) and I have a mazdaspeed exhaust.
I picked it up for $310 CDN +taxes. List prices at dealers is $395, but some dealers offer their customers up to 20% off genuine mazda accessories. I'm not sure if this qualifies, but it doesn't hurt to check. I got a coupon from Mazda Canada for that.

I think the model number was

8M-C09

If you do a search I'm sure you will find it. I don't have an intake yet.
