Mazdaspeed Sport Exhaust Question

For some reason the local dealership doesn't have the MS sport exhaust for 2002 model Proteges in its catalog. It does have it, however, for 2003 Proteges...since they have the same engine, would the 2003 exhaust work on 2002 models? Thanks in advance.

One of the guys in our local car club has it on his 1.8 and I sold mine to someone with a 1.6.

So you should be good to go.

Yes, it should work with all 3rd generation Protege's since it's an axle back and the piping is the same. I have the Mazdaspeed Sport Exhaust on my 99 1.6.

The dealership just called and told me that the MS exhaust "isn't available" for 2002 Proteges. Oh well, mazdastuff.com would probably be cheaper anyway...

Bah, they just don't know what they are talking about. If you give them the part number they could probably order it for you. Oh well just go for mazdastuff.com, they have pretty good prices.

Just make sure you don't get the P5 axle back as it is shorter than the sedan version.

Not to change the topic, but the sport rockers as well as the rear bumper will work as well on the 2000 models, no?
