Looks like more of the same, although if he's got someone to test it on, good for everyone.

Talking

I thought I could help the Protege community by getting the ball rolling on something. Just think, if either Roddimus's guy or this gentleman can become successful, then the world will change for all of us. For the HP even the most radical MSPs are making, the EEC-V is PLENTY! There are many 600-800whp Cobras running the streets with this ECU and some tuning.

What do you mean they dont do anything. Like every little gains, or like they dont do nothing at all. And pretty much are throwing away money?

about the JET chip...no'one has EVER (for any car) produced conclusive before and after dyno's showing they make ANY power.

Matt, I agree ford ecu's are awesome for tuning....almost anyone can do it..easily...Mazda ecu' are NOT the same though even though they use some ford Hardware. Look at RX7's, Miatas and us...no'one uses anything but standalones and the RX7's and miatas have a CULT-LIKE following...plenty of money to be had with those owners and still nothing.

Matty, have you been to the jet website before. Because the dyno sheets are there. Heres the address to help you, http://www.jetchip.com/dyno.asp. Now they dont give info on a protege of anything. But they do give results from RSX'S GSR'S, trucks, etc etc. All they give is info on MX3 MX6 323 626 Miata's and on down the road. They do give a dyno sheet for a ford probe which basically almost has the same engine as does the p5. Then if you go into the import information it gives you specifically car by car the HP gains and what they did to the cars to acheive those results. So i guess i just dont see why your saying no conclusive dyno sheets from stock to jet has ever been proven, when its on the website lol. IDK Maybe im wrong, but check it out if you want. Its at least worth that. Later.

I meant independent testing. no private owner has tested their vehicle, installed the chip and re-tested at the same time.

I've so many shadey dynos and unreliable testing methods used to sell products. I don't believe anything (hardly) unless I trust it's source.

p.s. I've been into semi-heavy racing for 10+ years and no'one I've ever run with in any circle has ever used a JET product. If they were so good everyone and their mother would be using them and posting their gains. Real mods cost money unfortunately and you get what you pay for.

I proposed a long time ago that everyone chip into a forum pool and I'd buy and test every product you guys wanted very strictly....no'one was up for it. I'm still game. E-rams, CAI vs SRI, S-aFC's, stock vs single manifolds, obx vs awr headers.....i'm just not going to pay for everything!

p.s. dude....look at what they call a dyno...
http://www.jetchip.com/pdf/dyno/chev...avilier_24.pdf

That's some bogus graph they drew up to show a PERFECT gain across all rpms....that doesn't happen.

Where is their torque curve? Where is their AFR's?

Besides everyone knows mustang dynos are the least accurate of all modern chasis dynos. I think a stock protege dyno's like 132whp on one....someone posted that graph and I almost cried laughing.

Make sure the stickers are really big and have nothing to do with the car whatsoever.
