Maf ???

well i have a question and hopefully some of you guys that are overly intelligent can help me out.
by the way i already DID a search and didnt come up with the answer.
there doesnt seem to be a voltage range for the mass air flow meters on the 02 and up fs engines. the only thing they show in various manuals is key on and idle voltage . also idle and 2500 rpm air flow parameters.
does anyone no what the range of this particular meter? is it a 5 volt meter? in other words when does it "bottom out"?
im looking for WOT redline voltage.
thanks in advance.

yes, but for some reason the voltage seems a little low. WOT and redline 1.7 volts.
maybe it wasnt measured correctly.
asking for some suggestions before trying again. i should not have been in a hurry that day but too many things going on.
inline with the signal return? or positve from voltage meter to (b) on the connector signal return and grounded to the battery?

the MAF should be a 5 volt sensor .Most PCM controled sensors on protege's will share a common power supply of 5 volts . I think there is a red with white tracer wire that is 5 volt called vref(voltage reference) this is constant and the signal return is the one that will change.

Why do you want to know the voltage so bad?

Ok, thanks. I thought you just wanted to know and were going to all that trouble.
