injen cold air intake for 2003 protege es

i just recently bought a 2003 protege es and bought an aem intake and gave it to my friend because i wanted the injen intake. I'm just wondering if i can use the injen intake for the 2002 mp3/protege5 because that is the only injen intake i can find. if anybody knows of an injen intake for 2003 models or if i can use the 2002 let me know.

looks like these are the apps available now...
APPLICATION
RD6050P Protégé 1.6L 1999-01
RD6065P Protégé 1.8L 1999-00
RD6060P Protégé 5 2.0L/MP3 2001-02

And there is an auction on ebay right now where the guy has 5 for sale for any of those applications above for 230 plus free shipping to the 48 states.

Well if you've got a 2.0L ES then it's exactly the same as the Protege5/MP3 model.

Injen Intake

I have a '03 sedan. I have the Injen CAI and it fits perfect. Simple install job; took less than 1 1/2 hours by myself. Good instructions on this site.

RD6060P - polished
RD6060R - red
RD6060B - blue

Got mine from www.adventon.com for $197 plus shipping. ($15)

Injen Cold Air Intake RD6060P

I bought mine a week ago and installed it in less than an hour, and took pictures for a DIY page (soon)

If anybody needs help installing his intake, visit my page, I will update it with comments this weekend.

if you took your car and opened the hood...put a 2002 next to it and opened its hood....and a 2001 next to that and opened its hood.....and they were all the same color....YOU couldn't tell the difference....because there is none in there.....

the Injen intake that is listed on sites for the 2001-2002 fits the 2003 cars just fine...there is no difference.

here is mine installed

Checked out your DIY and its pretty good. I'll probably reference it for my install. Question though, whats with the GTR decal on your door? Did you put that there cuz i've never seen that on an ES before. It makes your car look like a Spec R Sentra in the pics.

Badging

GT-R ES is a dealer special edition here, they install you perforated leather seats with GT-R brodery, chrome mazda mag wheels wich I traded for the sportronic transmission.

No additional power, just a bit of luxury, and what a smell :-)

i've had my injen cai for over a year now and put on about 12000 miles with it and only cleaned it once. do you guys think its worth buying a new cone instead of cleaning it again.

since the Injen intake comes with a reusable K&N cone filter, I don't see the point of buying a new one, when for $10, you can buy a K&N cleaning kit and clean it easily.

saves you money too!
