no claims have been made from what I know. From the new exhaust information I have read on here I would think decent gains. I would like Jesse to make the predictions about that though. He knows his **** from what I can tell when it comes to exhausts. Or he is awesome at making me think he knows something......

ok when i went on nopi the first time they didn't have pics of the headers. so went back there today to look at them and there are pics. so i was just wondering if that meant they are ready? Also isn't our primary cat after our "shorty" headers. IMHO it looks like the same set up so these will NOT elimate the first cat. But im not sure. Anyone know?

Actually the header picture they have on the site is just a generic picture. That is actually a header for teh B series Honda engine from the looks of the flange as that is definatly not a F engine flange.

I emailed both HP and NOPI a while ago, and all I got was the following from NOPI –

“They are not available at this time and we don't have dimensions on them at this time either. Sorry about that. NOPI”.

HP never replied.

I was just visiting NOPI again at work today, looking at the PIAA fog lights for the P5, and noticed the pics of the header. The two sets shown aren’t even the same, and they certainly aren’t for a Protégé. BTW, the fogs with black mesh housings, crystal lens and gold beam look sweet. I may have to get a set.

Thumbs up HP Responds!

k guys, here's what HP had to say:

Yes, the new Protégé header is in production and will also fit the 2.0 Prot5. Give us some time, you wont be sorry! We are trying to get the most Hp's possible out of the header. Thanks for your interest in HP Racing products.

I'm assuming that means the one on NOPI right now won't fit, but they're gonna come out with a fitment real soon...

it will fit any 2.0L protege and possibly the 1.8L (99-00) cars. nopi just jumped the gun and listed a header that has not yet been produced. HP racing is still in R&D for ANY protege headers. It should be out at the end of May/early June.

I speak with HP almost every week. When I called a few days ago they said the second week of May it will be available. check this thread for information about the header: http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...5&pagenumber=1

So azrakain, are you saying it's time to throw down the card with NOPI? Cuz I'm sure the first production run will be limited a few dozen sets at the most.
