Which engine and turbos the only way to go.
HiBoost makes a quality kit for all the proteges.

What car do you have? mazdaspeed protege, mp3, p5 or dx/lx/es? Also, is your car a manual or auto? Once you tell us this then we can help you pick out the right pieces to make your goal come true.

adding 100-150whp to a protege is not cheap nor really that easy. You're asking to more than double your stock output.

I suggest a better understanding f how engines work before trying to screw with one.

i was about to say something like that... but putting 100-150 hp into an engine just like that aint gonna work.... saying you pop a supercharger or a turbo on its gonna screw something up..

to get results you want, it will take alot of time (if you dont know what your doing)

i also suggest a better understanding of your engine and mostly all its components

you will be dealing with pressure, friction, timing, and heat change when adding hp. those are few variables you will be altering when hp is gained

Ha ha....true. Blunt, but true. You need to do a tad bit of researching before you just take the plunge. Turbo's are great...that was my initial idea...to turbo charge the P5, then Matty showed me another way to get boost...a safer way, by supercharging it. You gotta weigh your options. Read up. Search for Hiboost Turbo kit & search WOMP supercharger kit. If you're really serious, then go for it.

it's good that you are thinking of different ideas and want to try stuff with your car but,
neither is a good idea

mazda6...the not-worth-it list is too long
mazdaspeed...is the same engine as what you have, and the not-worth-it list is too long

engine swaps have been beaten, mamed, strangled, flogged, abused, killed and sent to
a better place, on this forum...do a search, it really does work
