My haltech was bought FROM protege garge and Hiboost jointly. It's custom made for the protege by Hiboost and my harness was hand made by Juan himself.

the clutch I bought was a stage 3 hyrbid using a stage 2 friction surface on the pressure plate side and stage 3 surface on the flywheel side. it's supposed t allow for easy engagement with the same torque rating of the stage 3....350lb-ft, not 450.

I've been on the phone with Spec all day....they claim to know nothing of the MAM hybrid clutch he's advertising.....:shadey:

Uhm. Are we gona need a laptop to work this Halteck? Or is it going to be plug and play?
Oh one onther thing, I though the flywheel is what caused the chattering, isn't going to come back if you don't replace the flywheel too?

sorta, it's the clutch chattering against the flywheel....

the haltech comes pre-mapped to install and run as-is. You WILL need a laptop to actually make any adjustments to you personal software. I will get VERY professional tuning done by a proven mazda guru and my maps will be provided with the haltechs I sell. You should only need temperature and altitude corrections.

I should be 100% complete with everything including installlation testing and tuning and dynoing on 1-29/30. That's as rushed as I can be! Trust me I want this done more than you!

Pricing is still not set in stone yet but we're going to look to retail for $2800 for the base system with F10X stand alone fuel system and probably about $3500 for the system with the E6X (full timing control and more boost). I'll need to tune next weekend to get exact estimates but I'm shooting for 150-170whp for the automatics (whatever boost that is) and 170-200whp for the manuals. It's been proven that certain pieces start breaking when you get much higher than that so I want to limit myself to what has been proven safe. I will do a special GB real soon for 5-10 people after all the numbers are in and expect pricing to be ABOUT (1-5) $2500 (6-10)$2250. I think thats a great price.

a couple more crappy pics....ignore all the scratch marks...once I get everything mounted like I want I'm building a custom glovebox for hiding everything.

me as well. I'm really hoping this runs well....I'm actually not recirculating the bypass so it'll act more like a BOV....i wonder if this will cause any off throttle stumbling issues...I'm sure the $400 tuning session should help out!

there are better places....just make sure when you install your harness you give yourself plenty of room to move the box where you want. I didn't do this. I 'm pretty limited.
