Finally got my mazdaspeed bumper on

So Ive been driving around for a few months with a sedan bumper on my P5. finally got the MSP front bumper painted and installed. Looks great. I also painted some of the interior Pure White to match the car and put in my short shifter. I will post pics as soon as I can.

Also, anyone notice the a MSP bumper is a P5 bumper with a lower lip over the bottom?

I also put in the OBX short shifter. Had no instructions, was a lot of fun. It has a shorter throw, but it about as tall as the stock shifter. You can lower it to make it physically shorter, but it hits the exhaust. My mazdaspeed shift **** fits on it now.

The 03 MSP bumper should be exactly the same as the P5, whereas the 03.5 MSP bumpers are the ones that have the lip. Congrats on the upgrade from the serious downgrade .. post pics

Mmmmm--MSP bumper cover on a P5. Byebye, ugly corner lights. Hello, clean smoothness. Congrats.

Might want to think about some polyurethane shifter bushings to go with that OBX shortshifter.

Bumper looks great, but fix that intake man!! Those rubber couplers are not gonna last long if they keep flexing like that..

Looks awesome! only weirdness I see is that it's still the sedan grille --I bet you noticed that it doesn't fit right at all

well and the 01 LX type headlights, but a lot of people like the bright chrome look

edit2: I like the white bits on the interior.. you'll probably find that that piece around the gauges will make lots of bright glare on the gauges. I had mine painted sunlight silver, then just bought a new stock one from onlinemazdaparts.com after a while

Did the work yourself? Looks good! All my painting goes to a shop, haha, so good on you to save yourself some cash.
The MSP front does look good on the P5. I'd leave the sedan headlights, they make it some sort of crazy hybrid, lol. Even more so with the 'Mazdaspeed' badge on the back, haha.

How much the front bumper cost you anyways?

The grill fits pretty good, I'd like to eventually get a different one.

I will fix the intake, I just need a new rubber hose (I didn't have any directions and I figured it out after I put it on.)

The part around the gauges didnt seem to glare yet.

Me and my brother did all the work, he did most of the paint work.

I sold my turbo coupe to a guy, then traded him the rims for his bumper (rusting with bald tires), he has a MSP with a wings west kit on it.

I figured I have enough Mazdaspeed crap on my car to justify the badge, even though I should have a turbo I like the reliability of it the car NA though.

Thanks for all the feedback.

No badges look best in my opinion. A white hatch would look super clean de-badged.
Then again, the MS badge is pretty nice - better than the normal Mazda one.

and the dozens and dozens of 100 horsepower Proteges with mazdaspeed badges on them make my car without one even more of a sleeper

The hood kinda detracts from your sleeper look

not when people are behind me

I bet the poof of "omg nearing redline" 9.1:1 air fuel ratio smoke out the tailpipie is a pretty good indication that something is going on though.

... plus the bright red obvious rear sway bar.. gotta do somethin about that.
