Exhaust

I have been thinking about this for the past month or so and I am still undecided. I want to put the Wagner shorty header on my P5 but I dont wont to do it unless I get rid of that first cat. So along with the header I want to get the DWN pipe to but I cannot get my self up to paying $175 for the down pipe. Does anywone know if the down pipe is really worth it? With my homeboys CRX he got about 5-7hp just by de-cating it. I was hoping to get the same results from the P5. I would love to get the OBX header but I dont have the tools or the Radio Shack to make the MIL eliminator. Any suggestions?

you could always take your stock cat and gut it out entirely. It would LOOK lke you have a cat but would act like a catless DP....the other main problem with the stock stuff is the tight bend at the DP and restrictive size.

i have a few cats here I could gut for you (for a small fee). There are a few ways to do it. Sometimes they come out easily sometimes they are a HUGE pain.

How much for one of those cats. If you want you dont have gut it I can do that myself. If you could hook me up with one that would be nice.

Why don't you just get an OBX header and get a MIL Elim. from Vielster

i think shipping to belgium wuld be pretty high since it's aheavy object. I was asking $50+shipping for the cats intact. Maybe another $10 to have it gutted.

I am having a little bit of a hard time finding an OBX. If I can find one I would get that one.

Shipping to Belgium isnt that hard. Cause I am US military we have the APO system. Just like shipping in the states but it takes a week to get here. As long as its sent USPS Priority mail its all good.

But I would rather have the OBX if I can find one.

i can get you an obx and MIL eliminator...but we'd have to pay double shiping since obx wont ship APO, we'll have it sent to me and I'll do it for you.

Thats cool. I could definitly do that. How ever you want to work it out is fine with me. I will even pay you a little extra for your trouble. Ceramic would be fine with me

You know, another difference between the Wagner + catless down pipe and OBX header. Anyone who has the Wagner knows that the tubes are not equal length. This has to cost a hp or so at some specific engine speed, due to the loss of a common resonant point between all four cylinder locations. If you look at most headers for drag cars, etc they go to great effort to keep the tubes all the same length for that purpose. Just a thought to throw out there.
