engine less

ok i dont know much about engines but i want to learn. anyway i have a 2000 protege es 1.8 and a scion xb. well all my friends talked me into "puting my car on the bottle" lol nawwwz well anyways we did this and it was fun at first but then my frined was driving and he blew the motor. so now i need a new one i want to go with a 2.0 how hard would this be? does the 1.8 and the 2.0 share the same transmission? well i'd really like to build an all out 2.0 with forged internals and maybe womp it from what my friend crushedbumper28 tells me. its going to be a long process because ill have to save my money up but i really want to. in what way would you build the 2.0? give me idea's explains somethings please help me out thanks

Congratulations. You're an idiot, did you even upgrade the fuel system when you installed the N2O system??
The 1.8 and 2.0 are basically the same, but the 1.8 has a better power curve stick with it.

1.8L is a better starting block. Speak with Andy Wagner at www.wagnermotorsports.net about getting forged internals for your car. I know he sells built 2.0L shortblocks but i'm sure he can do the same for the 1.8L's.

The 1.8L engines lack a little of the torque of the 2.0L engine but they rev much smoother, faster and higher. These are all key things when looking at adding a supercharger or FI in general.

yes, everythign is the same between the 1.8L and 2.0L if I remember correctly.

yeah i'm an idiot but i only did it because i have the xb and a bunch of other cars that my parents own and i can drive. the pro was just a beater but a nicer one then most. i only got it because my friend has one and i wanted to out do his. lol i never wanted to use nitrous. this was my other friends idea and i only did it because i didnt care. i dont plan on using it again either i want to build and super charge it. so will the womp work with my 1.8?

yeah it should work just fine on your 1.8L. You'd be the only one with it!
