Exclamation Engine Check Light Problem

i am getting the engine check light in my dash to come on....so i took it to mazda and they said that the comp cant fix the air/fuel ratio and vacuum for the engine. all i have is a RAI. whats up? how can i stop this (besides reverting back to stock) and has anyone else had this?

Try resetting your ECU if you haven't already. To do this, disconnect the negative power lead on the battery and pump the brake for a bit to drain the battery. This will cause the ECU to reset to its initial maps, and it will adjust from there. If this doesn't work...I don't know what to tell you.

yea, i just did that. i found a cable unattached when i was putting the negative back on...i'll see if i can get a pic so someone can indentify what the cable is for...

ok, no pic, sorry. the best i can do is describe it.

it has 2 green wires, is connected by a metal "holder" to the tranny, is connected by a grey clip....ring any bells?

i also saw the RAI i have, it needs to be clamped where the mini hose that connects the RAI to the block.

and after saying all this, the 3 years that i have loved cars and "studied" them just went down the drain. thank you, ignorance....meh

Are you saying the grey clip should be connected to the intake?
I don't really have any green wires in that vicinity that I can see...

no, not connected to the intake, i saw it while i was looking AT the intake...
