Drain plug!

I did not see my drian plug gasket "washer". I had none. I did the oil change about 500kms ago with no real ill effects. It might still be on the bottom of the drain pan and stuck on. Does everybody have these drain plug copper/metal rings?? I nkow , that all previous cars I have worked on had them!!!

EZ-drain!

I seen that same product when I was buying my first couple liters of synthetic oil Does the hose just turn on and it acts as a valve and oil comes out. After it is installed, are tools required to drain the oil?? Or can you just spin hose connector on and drain? I have a 01 1.6L DOHC SE. Do you know the part # of hand of the EZ-drain???? Thanks in advance to all who helped with the drain plug ring thinG

EZ drain:
I have one of these for my Mazda and it is great. The hose just turns on and the oil flows. There is a cover over the part that is permanantly on the car and you do not need any tools to use it. I would recomend it. I have had mine for about 3 oil changes now and love it. You can get it at Wal-Mart for about 10 dollars. Hope this helps.

Edit, I think the EZ-drain size is number 2 (not really sure though). I found it in the Fram filter book at Wal-Mart.
