Doh! Check engine

Hi,

I was driving on the highway (100-110km/h ; around 65mph) and the check engine came on. No engine noise, oil is fine, no rough idle and yes the gas cap is on tight.

Is there anything I can check myslef or do I have to take her to the dealer?

Thanks

M.

On my old escort the light would come on if the PCV Valve was too dirty. Check it out and see if it helps.

yep that happened to me
nothing serious
that means you have some air leak in your gas tank
go back, make sure it is locked tight, turn it until it clicks
and then you are set.
I took it at the dealer and that is what they told me when that happened and that excatly happened in the same excat situation as yours

I don't know how to get rid of the check engine light, they did that for me, maybe put some gas in it???

but nothing serious, make sure you have the cap of the gas tight and that is all that it is to it

if i am mistaken, please correct me!

Well, it was ... NOTHING.
They checked it out, cleared the code and took a test drive. The check engine did not come back. Go figure.

Have a great week-end everyone
