Cruise Control Removal

Has anyone removed the cruise control unit from a 2003 Protege ES or equivalent? Will this mess up anything?

Why not, its only for the elderly or the un-involved and it takes up too much room in the engine bay. Besides I've had cruise control on every car I've owned since 1994 and I have yet to use it even once!

to be honest, you would save your self 16% gas if you use the thing on the highway,

make a habit of using it,

removing it would make no diff and what do you plan on putting in your engine bay?

Omron is right...cruise control does make you save a lot of gas.

stupid thing about the cruise control is the buttons don't light up at night so you have to remember which button does what.

i dont think you will receive any positive responses from your post...this would be a huge wasted effort and it really doesnt take up much room in the engine bay....my suggestion would be to try using it doing any highway driving..it will save you in gas and speeding tickets
