Cruise Control Advice
I have a 2002 Protege DX 2.0L automatic with the no-theft option (AKA no options). I've recently had some knee trouble and get knee pains when driving more than 2 hrs on the highway, and reluctantly have give the wheel to my girlfriend...she doesn;t mind driving, but my real solution is to get cruise control.
The dealer told me that in order to get cruise installed in my car, he'd have to change the throttle body (or at least modify it) to take the new cruise control. This will void the warrantee and he wouldn;t do it.
Does anyone have any experience with what the changes to the throttle body would be or any experiences with voiding a warrantee? I want to get it done, but am holding off on this mod for now.

Good news, i know a little bit of what you need. The only change your really gay dealership has to do is put on a new disc on the throttle body. This can be found on the side which will have a cable connected to it, well anyways you need a disc that accepts two cables not just one like the one you currently have. 1) Accelerator cable and 2) Cruise Control cable. You will also need the cruise control unit and vacuum booster which holds your speed at what you set it. Also not to mention a new steering wheel that has the cruise control switches on it.
