I went out this morning to go to work (running late as usual). I go to start my car, click click click... ahhh nooo! dangit. I'm guessing its either the battery died or i got some mad corrosion. I'll find out when I get home this afternoon. I hopped in my spare mazda (wife's car) & went on to work

if it clicked, but wouldn't turn over, i'd bet on the battery being on its way out

nows the time to convince the wife to let you buy an Odyssey dry cell. stocker = 42lbs....odyssey = 14lbs and takes up half the space.

under the hood? You can put that battery under your seat! lower C.O.G. and less weight.

Think about these things!!

I'm getting one for the FB and throwing it under the passenger seat.

yeah but my car is a daily driver.. and to pass safety inspection it would have to be in a sealed battery box and all that jazz, wouldn't it? I could just mount it down lower in the engine bay (in front of the tranny perhaps)

either way I need hardcore cold cranking amps for those -30F mornings

thats what I was going with on the RX7. more compression than the P5.

The thing is the battery will put out a TON of cranking power for about 5 seconds. If your car wont start in 5 seconds then there are issues with it. After the 5-7s mark the power starts falling off fast.

Remember this battery is just for starting race cars...not powering sub systems and neons.

ok.. i took the battery out last night...

8 bolts! geez.. had to take my MAF/filter/filter support out just to get the battery to slide out... anyway.
I get the battery out, put in a borrowed battery, nothing. Not even a click. The interior lights/radio/dashboard lights work, I turn the headlights on, there is a ~4 second delay before they come on (odd?!).. i turn them off, flip them back on, they never come on.. (more odd)... so.. i got back under the hood.
There is a 15amp fuse connected to the + side that is blown, think that could be the problem. I am picking up an extra fuse today
