Cheap Ebay Intake

Hey guys, i got a Ebay intake a while ago, but the mounting brackets sucked crap, so the whole intake rattled all over the place. I checked out home depot and they didnt haev anything similar, so i ended up just using a fat rope from my passenger side headlight to the intake to hold it from rattling against my brake master cylinder. Anyone know what im talking about, with the crappy mountain brackets? Any suggestions?

I've heard of other moddifying the bracket a little to make it fit properly. Try the mounting bracket to a different location on the engine bay. Sorry I can't help you out much there. I hope some else can. Good luck!

It's not that it's hard to find a place to attach it to or something, it's just that it can be easily bent with my hands, so obviously it wont hold the intake solidly when the engine is rotating at 7000 RPM.

Its 2 peices of pipe with the filter on the end, right?? and the bracket is this peice of band steel with multiple holes in it that can be bent fairly easily by hand....I put it on mine and no probs at all, no vibrations or rubbing

there was a bolt right on the side of the block that i believe holds a ground wire...I used that and then put the other end under the hose clamp on the intake..i know that sounds kinda vague i'll take some pics if i can
